First day of school pictures are a right of passage. I remember standing on my front porch as a kid as my mom took our picture and I remember looking at pictures of my parents that my grandparents took on their first days of school. Carter started his first day of of Pre-K this week. He was so excited that he actually let me take his picture without making silly faces (at least for the first few). I’ve seen so many great first day of school picture ideas lately that it was hard to choose just one.
I got the free printable for his first of of school sign from Designs by Nicolina, which has a printable for every school year. After printing on my home printer, I borrowed a frame from Carter’s room to give it a little more polish. The night before school started, I asked Carter a few questions about his favorite things and what he wants to be when he grows up. I plan to ask him the same questions on the last day of school to see how his answers change. I’ll probably ask a few of them every year.
I’m happy to report that Carter had a great first week of school. He was excited to go back every day. Let’s hope he feels the same way again on Monday!
