My Friday Five – Easter Fun

My Friday Five – Easter Fun

Here we are again, Happy Friday – because aren’t you always happy when it’s Friday? We managed to not eat all of the Easter candy yet, which seems like a WIN for the week! Now on to My Friday Five…

1 | Egg Hunting – Every year gets more fun than the last! Carter had a great time hunting for eggs this Easter. Lately I’ve been noticing how grown up he looks, and I notice it even more in pictures. I guess Kindergarten will do that!

2 | Adventurous Grandma – Todd’s mom is always up for some fun, so while Carter was opening up his Easter eggs and Todd did yardwork, Coni took a ride on the zipline we put up a few weeks ago.

3 | Family Matters – We spent the afternoon at my parents’ house with my extended family. As always, I loved getting to spend some time with my Granny B, she’s 95, lives in her own home still and is sharp as a tack. Her eyes and ears may be failing, but her humor and story telling continue to prevail. This is a picture of my niece, my grandma and me on Easter.

The kids in our family get along so well. Here are my nieces, nephew and one of my cousin’s daughters after the egg hunt at my parents.

4 | Planting Season – earlier this week I shared the Monogram Succulent Garden I created for my desk at work. Let’s hope it stays healthy and bucks my streak as a plant killer. Succulents are supposed to be easy, right?

5 | Favorite Finds – One of my favorite things to come across my feed last week was posted by my cousin’s wife. How cool is this converted piano wine bar!? It’s from an antique store in Kansas City, Top Hat Mercantile. After perusing their site a little and running across so many great treasures, it will definitely be on my list to visit the next time we visit KC.

This is one of our last “free” weekends for a while. We do have a birthday party to go to and a friend visiting town, but for the most part low key. The weather is supposed to be nice (after rain most of the week), so I’m sure we’ll be outside as much as we can.

  1. I LOVE that monogrammed succulent. What a cool idea. I have issues keep succulents alive too. But if mine survived I would so try it! I wonder how it would look with cactuses… I tend to have better luck with things that don’t need water. Love the Easter pictures too

  2. That succulent planter…. just the cutest idea ever!!! I especially love that it’s nearly impossible to kill succulents (I’d probably find a way…) Hope you’re having a great week!
