It feels like the week just got started, only to have it be over in a flash. I want to stop time a little bit so the summer isn’t over before we know it! Most of my Friday Five this weeks revolves around last weekend. I didn’t realize we packed so much into it!
1 | Have a Heart – On Saturday morning I joined some of my co-workers in the American Heart Association Heart Walk. We were raising money in memory of a friend and co-worker of ours who passed away a few years ago. Rain was originally forecasted, but it held off for the morning and afternoon. I realized after the 5k walk that my Fitbit hadn’t counted my steps #techfail!
2 | Sidewalk Gymnastics – Todd and Carter met me downtown at the farmer’s market after the Heart Walk. As always, I got my dutch letter and Todd got his breakfast burrito. Carter always finds ways to turn anything into a jungle gym. This is how he enjoys the farmer’s market.
3 | Metal Works – I always enjoy looking at the display for RS Welding Studio – such cool stuff! I actually bought Todd a Father’s Day gift from them, which I’m sure I’ll share next week in My Friday Five. (It’s a good thing he’s not a regular reader of my blog!). Here are some of the other cool things they had (left to right) herb markers, decorative spike sphere, and a fire pit ring personalized with a last name.
4 | Luck o’ the Irish – We have a theme party to go to in a few weeks and Todd and Carter checked out some silly hats at the party store. I’m not sold on these yet, although Carter thinks it’s a winner.
4 | Scottand or Bust – Scotland has always been on our list of places we want to visit. Our recent binge watching of the Outlander series has only increased our need to visit someday. The scenery is amazing (and the story is addicting!).
No projects this week. Just keeping my head above water (sort of literal since we’ve had swim lessons all week). Maybe I’ll find some time to get my craft on this weekend. Have a good one all!

I LOVE Scotland. One of my favorite places ever. I’d love to go back in the Fall. I think it would be just beautiful. Just start planning that trip! And your trip to the Farmer’s Market sounds a lot like ours – we go for food to be consumed right then
You absolutely need to go to Scotland!Edinburgh is one of my favorite cities in the world and the countryside is breathtaking!
