I mentioned last week that a new home store had opened in our area – At Home. Honestly, I’d never heard of it before, but I was excited to check it out. On Sunday, Todd gave me a few hours to myself, so before going to get my first post winter pedicure, I went to check out At Home.
The building used to house a Super K (Kmart) so it’s a pretty large space. My first impression is that it looked a lot like Costco or another warehouse store, but all home decor. The first section I checked out was all seasonal and outdoor items. If you’re in the market for outdoor cushions, this is your place. I’m not kidding when I say there were 6 or 7 aisles filled floor to ceiling with them of all different colors and sizes.
There were aisles and aisles of tchotchkes and other items to fill bare shelves and mantels.
Really, who doesn’t need a teal garden gnome?
Of course, the letter decor caught my eye. It’s hard to tell in these pictures but these are each about 3 feet tall.
They also had several small furniture items like end tables and lots of bar stools. The rug selection was pretty impressive.
I wasn’t looking for anything in particular, so I didn’t buy anything during my first visit to At Home. I’ll certainly be back if I’m looking for something in particular.
What are your go-to stores for home decor items? I’m a big fan of Home Goods, Gordman’s, and Bed Bath and Beyond.
