Ninja Valentines for Boys

My son Carter is very active 5-year old boy and seems to act like a ninja about every other day. “Hi-ya-ing” and trying to do spin kicks in our living room (probably from watching Ninjago a little too much). I ran across some little ninja paratrooper toys on amazon.com a few weeks ago which sent me on a hunt for Ninja Valentine ideas. It would be tough to top last year’s Super Hero Valentine’s Suckers, but these Ninja ones turned out really cute, and they took quite a bit less time.

I created my own design using a free ninja graphic I found which I made it into a printable card. The one I made for Carter has his name on it, but the printable I’ve posted includes a place on the back to write in your child’s name. I provided two versions, one with just a front side, and one that is fold-able with a front and back. They are on two separate pages in this pdf, so just select the page you want to print within the document. Supplies:

  • Ninja toys
  • Clear treat bags
  • Cardstock or paper
  • Paper cutter or scissors
  • Stapler
  • Candy (optional)

Once you print out the printable cards and trimmed them, if you’re using the foldable verison, you will fold them in half and write your child’s friends names and your child’s name on the back. Place your ninja (and candy if you’re using candy) into the bag, put folded card over the top of the back, staple at the bottom of the card.

We decided to add suckers into Carter’s bags.

Carter has about 25 kids in his Pre-K and day care class, but after I had the cards printed out, it took less than an hour to put all of them together. Of course, we had to try out the ninja paratroopers to make sure they were good flyers.

There are so many great ideas out there. I found a few other really cute ideas for Ninja Valentine’s I’m sure my son would have loved too. (click on the links or the images to go to the posts) Ninja Suckers From Blonde Designs and Life in Wonderland
