TGIF people! Whew, we made it through another one, victory to us! We were so happy to spend a lot of time outside this week after work/school. Hopefully the weather will stay nice for Easter too.
1 | Fire Pit Season – the time has come! One of our favorite things to do in the spring and fall is get our fire pit going on a weekend night and just hang out, sometimes just us and sometimes with friends. Carter loves the chance to stay up past bed time once in a while! We had our first fire pit of the season last Saturday night. Yay spring!
2 | Budding Green Thumb – I worked on a little planter for my office over the weekend (more on that next week) and Carter wanted in on the action, so he picked out some flowers to plant as seeds. We’ll see how this goes, I’m not the best gardener, but I’m hoping one day it will click for me.
3 | Tattooine Eggs – we used up some temporary tattoos from Carter’s last birthday party to decorate our Easter Eggs. Faux eggs for the win!
4 | Easter Treats – I’m still trying to decide on what to make to take to my parent’s house for Easter dinner. Last year I made these bird’s nest cookies with jelly beans. I’ve been wanting to try to make macarons, but I’m not sure I’m feeling that ambitious.
5 | New View – I finally got the design of Sometimes Homemade updated! I’m still working out a few bugs, so bear with me if you notice any issues. It will be a work in progress for a little while. Thanks as always to all of you who stop by regularly and give me feedback. I always take it to heart with any updates.
This weekend my mother in law is coming to stay with us and we’ll all be going to my parent’s house for Easter dinner. It’s so nice that both of our families get along. Carter will get to play with his cousins, we’ll eat good food, and enjoy a great family day. This makes my heart happy!
